Currently the Music Specialist at Cheatham Hill Elementary School in Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County Public Schools), Dr. Thomas-Lee enjoys teaching a variety of musical mediums and ages! Paula received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano and Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She completed her D.M.A. in Music Education at the University of Georgia.
She is currently an active member of several organizations including the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, Mu Phi Epsilon, National Guild of Piano Teachers, Kindermusik Educator’s Association, and Music Educator’s National Conference. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music thru the Music Teachers National Association. She has had several articles published in Georgia Music News and Clavier Companion featuring piano instruction and music for the younger child. In addition, she has presented her research at various local, state, and national conferences. She completed completed Levels I, II, III and Masterclass for Orff-Schulewerk National Certification. This summer, she completed Level 1 in World Music Drumming Training in Alabama and loves to incorporate drumming into the elementary classroom. In addition to teaching elementary music, Dr. T-Lee is also a part time professor of Music Education at Kennesaw State University.
Dr. T-Lee loves being in the elementary music classroom and working with children everyday to nurture their love for music and music making!
